Court-Required Notarial Acts
Acknowledgement
Required for: Settlement Agreements, Separation Agreements, and Property Deeds.
Confirms the signer’s identity and verifies that they signed the agreement willingly and of their own free will.
Jurat
Required for: Sworn Financial Statements and Affidavits.
Requires the signer to take an oath or affirmation regarding the truthfulness of the document’s facts in our presence.
Impartiality
Required for: The Notary Public.

Signing Requirements
Valid Photo ID: All signers must present a current, government-issued ID (Driver’s License, Passport, etc.).
Completeness: Documents must be fully drafted with no blanks left. We cannot assist in filling out the content of the agreement.
Presence: The person whose signature is being notarized must be physically present before the Notary.
Common Questions
Can you notarize for both of us?
Yes, we can notarize for both spouses simultaneously or in separate appointments, as long as impartiality is maintained.
Do I sign before you get here?
For a Jurat, you must sign in the presence of the notary. For an Acknowledgement, you may sign before, but you must acknowledge the signature to the notary in person.
